We offer an assortment of programs that invite you to come as you are, encounter the Holy, and be renewed. Whether longing to grow in your understanding of self and/or the Holy, to seek connection and healing, or to simply add to your resources in these areas – we hope you will find many ways you can join with the Journey Center Great Lakes community.

Morning Meditations & Prayer
In the midst of a hurried life, we invite you to step away. Enter into a sacred space with the Holy and community, where you can breathe and be restored for your daily journey. Join us on a regular or as-you-can basis as we engage for approximately thirty minutes with simple contemplative practices such as sacred reading (Lectio Divina), sacred images (Visio Divina), and other guided meditation/prayer practices utilizing words, images, music, and scripture.

Series & Workshops
We offer a variety of workshops and groups that explore an array of contemplative practices and approaches to life. We aim to engage your mind, body, and soul for the purpose of wholeness. We also have a special emphasis on the Enneagram (a way of understanding personalities) in order to learn more about ourselves, God, and our relationships with others. You can register for individual workshops and/or workshop series.

Special Gatherings
Whether online or in person, we trust the power of the Holy One’s Spirit moving within and among us. Our gatherings—seasonal retreats, ongoing groups, and other occasional events—create space for reflection, renewal, and meaningful connection. Shaped by the rhythms of the liturgical year, the turning of nature’s seasons, the seasons of our lives, and the common interests and experiences that draw us together, these offerings take many forms: contemplative retreats, justice-centered reflections, book circles, parents’ groups, and more. Each gathering is rooted in deep listening, spiritual presence, and the transforming love of God.

As a non-profit organization, we are committed to doing our part towards the well-being and welcoming of all people. Thus, we gather together annually in a range of ways to celebrate, encourage, and raise funding and awareness for JCGL’s mission.
